At GetAbLocal, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your account, please follow these steps:

  • Email us at support@getablocal.co.za
  • Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request
  • Include your registered email address or phone number

We may contact you to verify your identity before processing the request.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted

When your request is processed, we will delete:

  • Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
  • Saved delivery addresses
  • Account-related data
  • Order history associated with your account

3. Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for legal, security, or financial reasons, including:

  • Transaction records (for auditing and compliance)
  • Fraud prevention and security logs

4. Retention Period

Retained data is typically kept for a limited period of up to 30 days, after which it is securely deleted unless required by law.

5. Processing Time

Account deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 7–30 days.
